Brian Helleland has been selected as chief executive of Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange (Calif.) and chief executive for the Orange County/High Desert service area, part of Renton, Wash.-based Providence's recently reorganized California South division.

Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Bronson Healthcare has appointed Martinson Arnan, MD, senior vice president and chief physician executive for the health system.

Several hospital and health system executives have stepped down or announced plans to step down from their positions. 

HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, a 447-bed facility in Tamiami, has named Vickie Magurean CFO, effective Jan. 15.

The McDonough District Hospital Board of Directors have voted to suspend with pay Brian Dietz, the Macomb, Ill.-based hospital's president and CEO, pending an internal review. 

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital, based in Inverness, has named Jordan Fulkerson CFO. 

With just days until the new year, many hospitals and health systems have seen changes in their CFO leadership in December.

Grand Island (Neb.) Regional Medical Center, part of Lincoln, Neb.-based Bryan Health, named Drew Waterman CEO, effective Dec. 31. 

Robert Boesch, DNP, RN, was named chief nursing officer of Atlanta-based Emory University Hospital, effective Feb. 5.

Sean Gregory has stepped down from his role as CEO of PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Wash., according to a Dec. 20 Facebook post from the hospital. 

Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health has elected Dana Dykhouse, CEO of Sioux Falls-based First Premier Bank, to its board of trustees.

Bret Kolman will retire as CEO of Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Mo., in January 2024.

Portland-based MaineHealth has appointed Bradley Chapman as president of Memorial Hospital in North Conway, N.H., effective Jan. 2. 

Effective Jan. 21, Jason Foland, MD, will become president of the Studer Family Children's Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Fla., according to a news release sent to local news outlets Dec. 27.

William Ermann plans to retire as CEO of Guymon, Okla-based Memorial Hospital of Texas County on March 30 after more than three years at the helm, local news outlet KSCB News reported Dec. 27. 

Cedar Park (Texas) Regional Medical Center has tapped Sean Tinney as CEO, effective Jan. 22. 

B. Konard Jones will retire Dec. 31 from his role as president and CEO of Fairfield, Calif.-based NorthBay Health, with the former COO of Froedtert Health in Milwaukee to succeed him.

Beata Mastalerz, DNP, RN, was appointed executive director of Phelps Hospital in Tarrytown, N.Y., succeeding Eileen Egan, RN, who has retired.

Keith Biddle, chief operating officer of Point Pleasant, W.V.-based Rivers Health, will retire from the healthcare industry in mid-January. 

Iowa City-based University of Iowa and UI Health Care have named Deborah Berini chief integration officer and interim chief administrative officer.
