Robert Harbaugh, MD, senior vice president of Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center academic practice, was named interim chief medical officer, according to an April 4 news release from Penn State Health. Dr. Harbaugh will oversee physicians with a focus on collaboration and efficiency in clinical services.

Cranston, R.I.-based Eleanor Slater Hospital named Katharine Woods, MS, DO, chief medical officer, the Providence Journal reported April 4.

Joseph Tolentino, DNP, BSN, was named COO of Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente's Orange County service area.

Brian Ulery was named CEO of Saint Clare's Health in Denville, N.J., part of Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare.

Riverside Healthcare in Kankakee, Ill., has named Kathy O'Grady, MSN, RN, as its new chief nursing officer. The system also appointed Mary Kohl as its vice president of clinical services, according to a March 30 news release.

Scott Evans, PharmD, has been appointed as the new market chief executive officer for San Diego-based Sharp HealthCare Regional Hospitals.

Sebastian Strom, MD, was named CEO of HCA Florida Largo Hospital, part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare. 

Amar Desai, MD, has left his role as president of health care delivery at CVS Health after less than six months to return to UnitedHealth Group, where he will advise the CEO, Bloomberg reports. 

Ahmad Sharif, MD, has been named system medical director of clinical informatics at Irving, Texas-based Christus Health.

Noblesville, Ind.-based Riverview Health has promoted its chief operating officer, Dave Hyatt, to president and CEO. 

Midland (Texas) Health has named Stephen Bowerman its next president and CEO. 

Bruce Viessman, vice president of operations for the Sanford Health Fargo (N.D.) network, will retire on March 31.

Ronald Place, MD, was named regional president and CEO of Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls, S.D., the flagship facility of Avera Health System.

Kinston-based University of North Carolina Health Lenoir has named Crystal Hayden, DNP, RN, its next president and CEO, effective May 28. 

Ephraim McDowell Health chose Tonya Goodin, MSN, RN to lead two of the Danville, Ky.-based system's hospitals as chief nursing officer, according to a news release. 

Cleveland Clinic London, which opened in March 2022, has appointed Robert Lorenz, MD, as president. He will assume the role June 1. 

Phoenix-based Banner Health's interim CFO, Anthony Frank, has left the system to pursue a new role in New York, Banner said in a March 29 filing.
