Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health is partnering with two Idaho hospitals as a minority investor.

Fifteen hospital and health system transactions were announced in the first quarter of 2023, with a new type of post-pandemic activity taking shape, according to Kaufman Hall. 

Two Wisconsin health systems — Froedtert Health and ThedaCare — have signed a letter of intent to merge into a single system.

San Antonio-based Methodist Healthcare inked an agreement to buy Hill Country Memorial in Fredericksburg, Texas, the San Antonio Business Journal reported April 3.

Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health and Minneapolis-based Fairview Health Services are again delaying their proposed merger, which would create a health system with more than 50 hospitals and 78,000 employees if approved, the Star Tribune reported April 3.

The University of Michigan Health has officially acquired Lansing, Mich.-based Sparrow Health System to become a $7 billion health system with more than 200 sites of care, according to an April 3 news release shared with Becker's.

After nearly two years of discussions, Irving, Texas-based Christus Health has acquired CardiaStream to create the largest cardiology group in East Texas, the Dallas Business Journal reported April 4.
