Genomics study lands Intermountain spot on most innovative biotech companies list

Fast Company unveiled on March 10 its annual list of the world's 50 most innovative companies, plus 44 sector-specific "Top 10" lists, which included a ranking of the most innovative biotechnology companies.

The sole healthcare provider to make the list was Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare, due to the HerediGene Population Study it launched in 2019. Established in partnership with Decode Genetics, with an expected sample size of 500,000 people, the study promises to be the largest single-population genomics study in history.
