Samsung partners with cardiac monitoring company

Cardiac monitoring company HeartBeam entered into a strategic alliance with tech giant Samsung.

The agreement builds off a partnership between Livmor and Samsung; HeartBeam acquired Livmor earlier this year. Livmor's wearable atrial fibrillation detection system was deployed at VA facilities in Dallas, according to a May 30 HeartBeam news release.

"The goal of this partnership is to bring standard of care for cardiac diagnostic capabilities to patients by utilizing cutting edge technologies of both Samsung and HeartBeam," Branislav Vajdic, PhD, HeartBeam founder and CEO, said in the release. "Our newly acquired state of the art, FDA cleared, Samsung watch-based arrhythmia detection tool, once integrated with the HeartBeam AIMIGo telehealth platform, presents a unique opportunity to extend our product capabilities well beyond what is currently available for cardiac patients outside of a medical setting."
