In a recent podcast from The Workforce Institute at Kronos and the Society of Human Resource Management, the absent manager and its effect on an organization was discussed.
According to Kronos' website, the podcast features Evren Esen, director of survey programs at SHRM, Sue Meisinger, executive management columnist, speaker and consultant speaking with Workforce Insitute of Kronos direcotr Joyce Maroney.
In the podcast, the trio discussed absenteeism in regards to a recent global study on "Total Financial Impact of Employee Absences" that was commissioned by Kronos and conducted with SHRM.
The group discussed the study and its impact on productiviy and co-workers as well as how absentee management effect varies from country to country and region to region. They also discussed further:

- inadequate staffing and stress levles
- tactics to combat absenteeism impact
