Shands Live Oak names Heath Evans CEO: 4 things to know

Shands Live Oak (Fla.) Regional Medical Center has named Heath Evans CEO, according to a report published by the Suwannee Democrat.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Evans.

1. He starts his new job Dec. 15.

2. Most recently, he was COO of Statesboro-based East Georgia Regional Medical Center. In that role, he was responsible for hospital operations, physician practice operations and physician recruitment.

3. Mr. Evans previously was assistant CEO of North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Fla., for four years.

4. He earned master’s degrees in health administration and business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a bachelor’s degree in health services administration from the University of Central Florida, based in Orlando.
