Detroit Medical Center's Children's Hospital of Michigan is proposing a $50 million healthcare facility in Royal Oak, Mich., according to a metromode report.
The 100,000-square-foot facility would improve access to DMC's suburban patients and would offer pediatric specialty care, an emergency room and adult specialty care. The hospital also estimates the center could create 155 full-time jobs.
The project is motivated in part by the success of a similar center in Clinton Township, according to the report.
DMC aims to begin construction later this fall and complete the center by 2014.
