The medical center will now be referred to as Salem Medical Center, an affiliate of Inspira Health. The complete transition will take about a year, during which those working at the center will remain Salem employees and Inspira leadership will oversee the campus, according to a Dec. 16 Inspira news release.

The New Jersey Joint Budget Oversight Committee appropriated $25 million to Inspira to provide Salem Medical with new communication and medical tools.
