Dartmouth-Hitchcock in New Hampshire Joins Mayo Clinic Care Network

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., will join the Mayo Clinic Care Network, remaining an independent entity with special access to Mayo Clinic resources, according to a news release.

Those resources include tools that promote physician-to-physician consultations, a point-of-care database of best-practice information on disease management, and Mayo Clinic care guidelines, treatment recommendations and reference materials.

"The Mayo Clinic Care Network is about advancing longstanding relationships with organizations who share a commitment to improving care and value for our patients," President and CEO of Mayo Clinic, John H. Noseworthy, MD, said in a statement.

The Dartmouth collaboration gives Mayo Clinic a "unique relationship into the Northeast corridor" of the U.S., according to the news release.

Dartmouth and Mayo Clinic are discussing future collaborations focusing on population health management, expanded clinical and basic research, joint educational initiatives and advancement of the science of healthcare delivery, according to the release.
