Providence St. Mary names new CMO: 4 things to know

Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Wash., has named Christopher Hall, MD, CMO, effective April 11, according to a news release.

Here are four things to know about Dr. Hall.

1. Dr. Hall will fill the post vacated by Michael Bernstein, MD, who left the position last July to become the CMO for acute and continuum services for Providence in California.

2. Dr. Hall joins St. Mary from Mercy Health System of Maine in Portland, where he currently serves as CMIO. He is also a pediatric hospitalist.

3. Previously, he practiced at the Walla Walla Clinic from 2001 to 2009. He served as medical director from 2006 to 2007, and was president of the board of directors from 2007 to 2009.

4. Dr. Hall earned his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland and is earning a master’s degree in business administration.
