The Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland is beginning mandatory perioperative nursing courses for undergraduates, according to a news release.

The courses in acute and critical care are designed to prepare students for the operating room and improve their understanding of infection control and sterile techniques. The requirements will include spending seven weeks in the OR.
