Jersey City Medical Center in Talks With Barnabas Health, Reportedly

Jersey City (N.J.) Medical Center may be close to announcing a partnership with Barnabas Health System in West Orange, N.J., according to a Jersey Journal report.

Jersey City Medical Center attempted to acquire Christ Hospital in Jersey City earlier this year but lost the bid to Hudson Holdco, owner and operator of Bayonne (N.J.) Medical Center and Hoboken (N.J.) University Medical Center.

Mark Rabson, spokesman for Jersey City Medical Center, declined to comment, but an "industry expert" has said talks between the medical center and Barnabas Health are "going well," according to the report.
