Kentucky hospital appoints new CNO: 4 things to know

Murray (Ky.)-Calloway County Hospital has appointed Jeffrey Eye, RN, MSN, CNO.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Eye.

1. In his new job, he will be responsible for inpatient nursing units, along with emergency services, women’s and children’s services, perioperative services, clinical education and patient care staffing and operations, officials said.

2. Mr. Eye joins the hospital from Kansas City, Mo.-based Saint Luke’s Health System, where he has served in various roles. Those roles include director of emergency services, director of acute inpatient and emergency services, and CNO of Saint Luke’s North Hospital, which has campuses located in Kansas City, Mo., and Smithville, Mo.  

3. Previously, he was with Kansas City, Mo.-based Truman Medical Centers and Columbia-based University of Missouri Health Care.

4. Mr. Eye earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Missouri in Columbia, and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Kansas in Lawrence with focus in organizational leadership and management.
