The state plans to buy packs of naloxone nasal spray, an opioid overdose treatment, for $24 per twin-pack. Eligible universities, first responders and community organizations can access the naloxone supply for free. The partnership will allow California to buy 3.2 million packs for the cost of 2 million at market price.

CalRx is also working on manufacturing its own insulin brand.
