Beaufort (S.C.) Memorial Hospital is partnering with Lakeland, Fla.-based supermarket and pharmacy chain Publix to open a fourth telehealth location.
The new center, located inside a Publix store in Beaufort, will offer a private room with teleconferencing and diagnostic equipment such as blood pressure cuffs, high-definition cameras and stethoscopes to aid in common diagnoses, according to a Jan. 17 Publix news release.
Patients will be able to speak directly through video conferencing with a licensed care provider to receive care for common conditions like cough, fever, flu and rashes, using the equipment on the direction of the provider.
The fee for using the telehealth center is $67 per visit.
