Kaiser, Other Systems to Spend $2.2B on Oakland Hospital Projects

Construction costs for planned hospital projects in Oakland, Calif., will total approximately 2.2 billion, according to a San Francisco Business Times article.

Kaiser Permanente is rebuilding its Oakland Medical Center, expected to be completed by 2014, for roughly $1 billion. Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, also expected to be completed by 2014, is building its new Patient Care Pavilion in Oakland, Calif., for $350 million. Alameda County Medical Center is going to rebuild its Highland Hospital for $668 million; however according to Alameda, it is expected to be completed by 2017. Some parts of it may be completed earlier.
