According to a criminal complaint, ex-hospital chief Daryl Duncan sent several emails to Mon Health in an attempt to harass his replacement. Mr. Duncan also sent mail to Mon Health, as well as co-workers’ homes and places of worship, according to the complaint cited by the report.
In February 2018, Mr. Duncan was placed on a leave of absence after 28 physicians signed a letter of no confidence in his leadership. The physicians outlined several issues at the institution, including the hiring of three cardiologists who had not seen patients but had been paid full salaries. He resigned as CEO in March of the same year.
Magistrate Tim Pocius in Mon County Magistrate Court will make a decision on the case instead of a jury, a request made by Mr. Duncan’s attorney, according to MetroNews.
