New Hampshire-based Memorial Hospital appoints president: 4 notes

North Conway, N.H.-based Memorial Hospital named Arthur R. Mathisen president.

Four notes:

1. Mr. Mathisen most recently served as president and CEO of Copley Hospital in Morrisville, Vt.

2. He served for 18 years as an Army officer and held several Medical Service Corps posts, including COO of Munson Army Health Center in Fort Leavenworth, Kan.

3. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

4. Mr. Mathisen, who will assume the role in the coming months, is the permanent successor to Scott McKinnon, who retired last year.
