New Hampshire-based Memorial Hospital CEO to retire in October: 6 notes

North Conway, N.H.-based Memorial Hospital President and CEO Scott McKinnon is retiring Oct. 31.

Here are six notes:

1. Mr. McKinnon assumed the top post at the 25-bed critical access hospital in 2009.

2. During his tenure, the hospital became a member of Portland-based MaineHealth as well as increased its clinical offerings in several areas such as sleep medicine and oncology. Mr. McKinnon also oversaw the creation of a community health department.

3. Prior to joining Memorial Hospital, Mr. McKinnon served as a vice president at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pa.

4. He has served on the boards of The New Hampshire Hospital Association and Foundation for Healthy Communities.

5. He holds an MBA from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

6. The Memorial Board of Trustees will soon form an executive search committee, and it hopes to identify a permanent leader by March 2019. The board is also discussing an interim leadership plan.
