Here are four things to know about Mr. Stanley.
1. He started his job in October.
2. In his new role, Mr. Stanley will work directly with senior leadership, learning the operations of Gateway Regional as part of his journey to becoming a hospital CEO in the future.
3. Gateway Regional CEO Ed Cunningham said in a news release, “James offers a level of healthcare management expertise and a background in marketing and business development that will help us navigate the hospital through all the changes we see in the healthcare industry.”
4. Prior to joining Gateway Regional, Mr. Stanley was director of marketing and public relations and assistant CEO of Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson. Gateway Regional and Kentucky Regional are both part of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.
