Dignity Health exec joins Adventist Health as hospital president

Chris Champlin has been appointed president of Adventist Health and Rideout hospital in Marysville, Calif.

He replaces Rick Rawson, who retired on Nov. 5.

Mr. Champlin previously served as chief strategy officer for Dignity Health’s Greater Sacramento division for six years, and in leadership roles for the San Francisco-based organization’s Central Coast division for 13 years, a news release said. 

Before joining Dignity Health, Mr. Champlin spent several years at WellPoint, where he was responsible for the insurer’s state-sponsored business division.

Mr. Champlin will begin his new role with Adventist on Dec. 6.
