Former CEO of Boston's Caritas Christi Health Care Received Pay Raise of $1M in 2009

Ralph de la Torre, former CEO of Boston-based Caritas Christi Health Care, received $2.2 million in total compensation in 2009 — roughly $1 million more than he received in 2008, according to a Boston Globe report.

His salary and benefits total made Mr. de la Torre the highest-paid hospital executive in Boston that year, the report said. He is currently the CEO of Boston-based Steward Health Care System.
