Medical Group, Former St. Francis CEO Submit Letter of Intent for Former Hawaii Medical Facilities

The San Francisco-based medical group Hampton Health and the former president and CEO of Honolulu-based St. Francis Healthcare, Eugene Tiwanak, have submitted a letter of intent to acquire the former Hawaii Medical Center facilities from St. Francis for an undisclosed price, according to a Pacific Business News report.

The offer comes less than a week after The Queen's Health Systems in Honolulu submitted a letter of intent with St. Francis Healthcare to explore acquiring the Hawaii Medical Center-West in Ewa. Hampton Health and Mr. Tiwanak's letter of intent is for both Hawaii Medical Center-West and Hawaii Medical Center-East in Honolulu.
