SCL Health taps former Atrium Health executive as CIO: 5 things to know

Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health selected Craig Richardville to serve as CIO.

Five things to know:

1. Mr. Richardville most recently served as owner and president of Richardville Consulting, providing advisory and brokerage services for start-up software and services companies.

2. He is the former senior vice president and chief information and analytics officer at Charlotte, N.C.-based Carolinas HealthCare System, now known as Atrium Health.

3. He is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Information Management Systems Society as well as chairman of Premier Member Technology Improvement Committee.

4. In 2015, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and HIMSS named Mr. Richardville the John E. Gall, Jr. CIO of the Year.

5. Mr. Richardville assumed the CIO role at SCL Health Feb. 4, replacing Louis Capponi, MD, vice president and chief medical informatics officer, who had taken on expanded responsibilities as interim CIO.
