San Joaquin Community Hospital CEO Doug Duffield to leave: 4 things to know

Bakersfield, Calif.-based San Joaquin Community Hospital President and CEO Doug Duffield is leaving his post, effective Sept. 30.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Duffield has served at the helm of the hospital for three years.

2. Mr. Duffield is leaving to take on a leadership role at a “large faith-based healthcare system” in the Pacific Northwest, noted the hospital statement.

3. During his tenure, the hospital earned a number of accolades, such as U.S. News and World Report recognizing the hospital as high performing in heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

4. SJCH’s current COO Sharlet Briggs will take over as interim CEO.
