Elizabeth Wise to serve as Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono’s permanent president: 4 points

East Stroudsburg, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono’s acting President Elizabeth Wise, BSN, MSN, will now serve in the role permanently, according to The Morning Call.

Here are four points:

1. Ms. Wise was named acting president after East Stroudsburg-based Pocono Health System become part of Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network on Jan. 1.

2. Prior to the merger, she served as COO and CNO of Pocono Health System.

3. Her previous roles include vice president of patient care services and CNO at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.

4. As interim leader, Ms. Wise played an important role in integrating Pocono and LVHN. LVHN plans to add more physicians as well as open an inpatient rehabilitation facility on the Pocono campus.
