9 CFO moves in 9 days

The following hospital and health system CFOs left their roles or shared plans to leave between March 7 and March 15, Becker's reported. 

1. Drew Keesbury has been appointed CFO of St. Joseph, Mo.-based Mosaic Life Care, effective April 14. He will replace Tom Bieterman, who is retiring as interim CFO. 

2. Craig Richmond resigned as CFO of Cleveland-based MetroHealth after nine years in the role. Geoff Himes, former vice president of finance, took over as interim CFO March 6.

3. Mullica Hill, N.J.-based Inspira Health appointed William Pelino senior vice president and CFO. Mr. Pelino previously served as executive vice president and CFO of Bayonne, N.J.-based CarePoint Health.

4. Alexander Fernandez left his role as CFO of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health to become executive vice president and CFO of Vitas Healthcare, a Miami-based provider of end-of-life care. 

5. Batesville, Ind.-based Margaret Mary Health appointed Craig Gilliland vice president of financial services and CFO. His new role took effect Feb. 13.

6. Julie Wittwer has been named CFO of Savannah, Ga.-based Optim Health System

7. Optum's CFO of care solutions, Elaine Birkemeyer, is joining in-home care technology company Tactile Medical as its new CFO.

8. Dave Baden, CFO of the Oregon Health Authority, has been appointed interim director, effective March 17. A search for a permanent OHA director is underway.

9. HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital named Jordan Fulkerson CFO, effective Feb. 27.
