4 hospitals, health systems adding jobs

The following hospitals and health systems shared plans to hire workers in the past month, starting with the most recent.

1. 140 workers to staff Cobalt Rehabilitation Hospital: 3 things to know
The new Surprise, Ariz.-based Cobalt Rehabilitation Hospital, which has been under construction and expects patients in January, will bring about 140 jobs to the area. The jobs are wide ranging and include neurologists as well as registered nurses.

2. McLaren Bay Region hiring 80-plus workers: 3 things to know
McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, Mich., is seeking to fill more than 80 part- and full-time job openings at the hospital.  

3. Baltimore hospitals to address local systemic challenges with 375 new jobs: 6 things to know
Maryland regulators have approved a smaller employment plan that will allow Baltimore residents living in struggling neighborhoods hit hard by riots last April to apply for 375 new jobs at area.

4. Nationwide Children's Hospital pledges to add 1,700 jobs by 2024: 5 things to know
Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, has posted 620 to 650 job openings nearly every month in 2015. The hiring comes as the hospital pledges to add nearly 1,700 workers for a total of 12,000 employees by 2024 under a recent a jobs creation tax incentive package.
