Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital CEO Scott Barbe to retire: 4 things to know

Memorial Hermann Cypress (Texas) Hospital Senior Vice President and CEO Scott Barbe is retiring, effective July 8, 2017.

Here are four things to know:

1. In 2014, Mr. Barbe was tasked with overseeing the construction of Memorial Hermann Cypress, which will open on March 31, 2017.

2. Prior to that, he was CEO of Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital. He was key in relocating the Katy hospital to its current location.

3. He has served as a board member for the Greater Houston Hospital Council and Texas Hospital Association.

4. Heath Rushing will succeed Mr. Barbe in July. Over the next few months, Mr. Rushing will work with Mr. Barbe to open the Cypress hospital.
