SunLink Health Systems Closes on $10M Loan for Hospital Fixes, Debt Refinancing

Atlanta-based SunLink Health Systems announced (pdf) it has closed a $9.975 million loan to make improvements at one of its hospitals and to repay older debt.

Roughly $1.475 million of the loan will go toward upgrades at Trace Regional Hospital in Houston, Miss. The remaining $8.5 million will repay a portion of SunLink's senior debt.

The five-hospital, for-profit system borrowed $5 million in March to fund improvements at Callaway Community Hospital in Fulton, Mo., and to refinance more of its senior debt.
