Yale Cancer Center, Smilow Cancer Hospital Partner With Research Institute

Sarah Cannon Research Institute in Nashville, Tenn., announced a collaboration with Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven (Conn.) for cancer research.

Under the agreement, physician scientists from SCRI and Yale Cancer Center will determine strategic scientific priorities and establish clinical research protocols. In addition, Yale Cancer Center will open a clinical trial management office and Smilow Cancer Hospital will develop a network of community-based sites to participate in the trials, according to the release. SCRI will help open research studies at Yale and within the community network and will improve Yale patients' access to clinical trials.
