West Virginia's Jefferson Memorial Buys 50 Acres to Build Future Medical Campus

Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.V., which is part of the West Virginia University Hospitals East system, has signed a letter of intent to acquire 50 acres of land that will be used for a future medical campus, according to a WBOY news report.

According to the news report, hospital officials have been searching potential land property for several years. The plot of land would allow for a new ambulatory center, medical office building, imaging center, wellness center, community educational space and a new hospital.

Contract negotiations are to follow, and hospital officials expect to close the deal by Labor Day.
