New Virtua Voorhees Hospital Now Open in New Jersey

The newly built Virtua Voorhees (N.J.) Hospital is now open to the public, according to a hospital news release.

The move day for the new hospital took place on Sunday. During the move, patients from the older Virtua Voorhees Hospital were transported via ambulance to the new location. The new $463 million, 368-bed hospital was built to replace the older facility, which could not be easily expanded, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer news report. However, certain services will continue to operate there until an outpatient center is added to the new hospital campus.
