Here are three things to know about the acquisition.

1. Speaking on the deal, TransUnion said it is investing in building its healthcare business due to “the enormous opportunity to leverage data, technology and analytics to help healthcare providers maximize reimbursement.” In June, TransUnion announced the acquisition of Auditz, another healthcare services organization.

2. RTech brings various offerings to the table, including its revenue protection solution, new solutions for academic medical centers and proprietary coverage discovery technology, which complements TransUnion’s eScan product, as well as Auditz’ solution.

3. Additionally, RTech said it will broaden its product line to offer many TransUnion solutions, including ClearIQ patient access products such as identity verification, insurance eligibility, patient payment estimation and propensity to pay.
