Albany, N.Y.-based St. Peter's Health Partners has announced a $150 million master facilities plan to upgrade its two hospitals in Troy, N.Y.

The plan, expected to be complete in the mid-2020s, will include the construction, renovation and modernization of inpatient facilities at Samaritan Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital, both in Troy.

Major highlights of the project include construction of a new five-story, inpatient pavilion including an expanded emergency department, and intensive care and progressive care beds; enhancements to cancer services; other infrastructure improvements; and a 500-space parking garage.

Samaritan and St. Mary's joined St. Peter's in 2011 when Seton Health and Northeast Health merged with St. Peter's.
