Hutchinson Regional to Embark on $5M ER Expansion

Hutchinson (Kan.) Regional Medical Center has announced its plans to embark on a $5 million expansion and renovation of its emergency department.

The project will increase the number of beds in the ER from 10 to 20. It will also include the addition of two trauma rooms, 14 private treatment rooms, two private patient triage rooms and an updated diagnostic imaging suite.

Construction is expected to begin in the fall and be completed by 2014.
