Baxter Regional Medical Center Mountain Home, Ark., is currently in negotiations to manage Community Medical Center of Izard County in Calico Rock, Ark., according to a Baxter Bulletin report.
Baxter Regional hopes to have a management agreement in place with the 25-bed critical access hospital by Nov. 30, according to the report.
"The goal of BRMC in assisting Community Medical Center of Izard County is to help them keep the healthcare services strong in the communities they serve." BRMC CEO and President Ron Peterson said in the report. "This is an opportunity for us to help the patients of Izard County continue to receive the quality personalized health care they have always known and expect."
