Ohio's UC Health Names Dr. Anil Jain First CMIO

Cincinnati-based UC Health has named Anil Jain, MD, FACP, senior vice president and the organization's first chief medical information officer, according to a hospital news release.

In his new role, Dr. Jain will create a clinical strategy for the application of health IT and ensure that technology decisions are closely associated with the delivery of high quality patient care. He will be responsible for implementing and educating clinicians about the Epic electronic medical record.

Dr. Jain currently serves as senior executive and physician at Cleveland Clinic, where he has worked since 1995. He most recently served as a senior IT executive at Cleveland Clinic.
