Two Renowned Physicians Join Illinois' NorthShore University HealthSystem

Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University HealthSystem recently announced Theodore Mazzone, MD, will be the new chair of its Department of Medicine, and Paul J. Pearson, MD, will head its cardiac surgery division, according to NUH news releases.

Dr. Mazzone previously served in clinical leadership positions at Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center and was also the founding director of the University of Illinois Center for Clinical and Translational Science, the release said.

Dr. Pearson formerly practiced at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.
