Physician-Owned Medical Center in Ohio May Expand Into Health System

Butler County Medical Center in Hamilton, Ohio, may expand into a health system, according to an Oxford Press report.

Matt Teleha, the physician-owned medical center's former campus administrator, hinted that the facility is in talks with other healthcare providers about "the success, growth, expansion of the Butler campus and its plans to continue to be the provider of choice for patients," according to the news report. Other officials at the medical center declined to comment on Mr. Teleha's statement.

Other healthcare providers in the area have also remained mum on the topic. Officials at TriHealth would not confirm nor deny any discussions took place about a possible takeover. Christ Hospital, Atrium Medical Center and McCullough-Hyde and West Chester Hospital have all denied engaging in talks with Butler County Medical Center.
