Illinois Regulators Approve Christ Medical Center's Ambulatory Pavilion

The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board has unanimously approved Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn to construct a nine-story ambulatory pavilion, according to a Southtown Star report.

The $202 million ambulatory pavilion will feature outpatient clinics, more than a dozen operating suites, endoscopy labs, imaging technology and space for the hospital's cancer, heart and vascular and neurosciences institutes, among other health services, according to the report.

Construction is scheduled to begin in October with a projected completion date of 2013.
