Jefferson Regional Medical Center drops ‘interim’ from CEO Brian Thomas’ title: 4 notes

Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Ark., named Brian Thomas its permanent president and CEO.

Here are four notes:

1. Mr. Thomas has been serving in the leadership roles on an interim basis since March 2016, prior to which he was JRMC’s senior vice president and COO.

2. He has previously served as CEO for Howard Memorial Hospital in Nashville, Ark., as well as COO for Tenet Healthcare in Indio, Calif.

3. He has 20 years of healthcare management experience, including a previous four-year stint as JRMC’s director of physician practices.

4. JRMC serves 216,000 residents in 11 southeast Arkansas counties.
