Montefiore Nyack (N.Y.) Hospital is restoring a graveled parking lot to an open field following the opening of a new 400-space parking garage in 2023, Lohud reported Dec. 12.
The restoration will take place between March 1 and June 1. Montefiore will keep 20 parking spots on the lot for department heads and director-level staff until Dec. 23.
In 2019, 1,500 neighborhood residents and activists signed a petition opposing the hospital's use of the field as a parking lot.
