3 hospitals planning upgrades, expansions

The following hospitals announced or completed plans in the last week to expand, upgrade or renovate their facilities.  

1. Illinois hospital breaks ground on $60M replacement facility
Taylorville (Ill.) Memorial Hospital broke ground June 29 on its $60 million replacement hospital.

2. New York hospital to build patient pavilion with 90 private rooms
Bay Shore, N.Y.-based Southside Hospital plans to construct a patient pavilion with 90 private rooms and a five-story employee parking garage.

3. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta advances plan for new 446-bed hospital
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta has taken an important step toward opening a new 446-bed hospital by filing a certificate of need with Georgia officials.
