Advocate Health Care Network and Cadence Health System are the final two systems competing for Sherman Health Systems in Elgin, Ill., according to a Chicago Business report.
While hit by the recession, Sherman Health Systems now shows financial improvement which could attract a buyer, according to the report. According to experts at Principle Valuation, Cadence may have an advantage because of its financial strength.
Both systems have submitted proposals and the winner is expected to be announced this fall.
