Future Owner of Christ Hospital Uncertain After Auction

Bidders for Christ Hospital in Jersey City, N.J., reconvened for a hearing March 20 after an auction held March 19 did not reach a resolution, according to a Jersey Journal report.

The bidders included Jersey City (N.J.) Medical Center, partnering with Bloomfield-based Community Healthcare Associates, and Pennsylvania-based Hudson Holdco, which owns Bayonne (N.J.) Medical Center and Hoboken (N.J.) University Medical Center.

The owners of Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center in Secaucus, N.J. were expected to place a bid, but they backed out last minute, according to the report.

No decision from the March 20 hearing has been announced as of yet.
