Yakima Heart Center in Washington Partners With Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital

Yakima (Wash.) Heart Center has partnered with Yakima (Wash.) Valley Memorial Hospital, according to a Yakima Herald report.

The heart center, which has been independent for nearly 40 years, will lease the building from the hospital, which will own the equipment for nuclear imaging, echocardiography, diagnostics and other services. The heart center physicians and staff will remain an independent practice and will continue to practice at both Yakima Valley Memorial and Yakima (Wash.) Regional Medical and Cardiac Center, according to the report.

The partnership offers the heart center some stability, which helps in recruiting new cardiologists, according to the report. In addition, the relationship will facilitate communication between the center and the hospital, improving patient outcomes.
