Northwell names corporate campus in honor of trustee Ralph A. Nappi

New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health has named its corporate campus in honor of Ralph A. Nappi, executive vice chair of the Northwell board of trustees.

Mr. Nappi began serving as an associate trustee of North Shore Health System in 1966, serving through the system's merger with Long Island Jewish Health System in 1997 to form Northwell Health. Mr. Nappi then went on to serve as president of the Northwell Health Foundation.

"Ralph is one of those very, very special people. He has been in the health system over 50 years," said Michael Dowling, CEO and president of Northwell. "He was chairman at North Shore decades before there was ever a thought of creating a health system. That's an extraordinary history. He's everybody's friend. He's everybody's mentor. He's somebody that you can completely trust, somebody that only cares about doing the right thing all of the time, somebody with a conscience that reminds each and every one of us why we're in the business."

Mr. Nappi received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School.
