Norton Healthcare Breaks Ground on New Women's and Children's Hospital

Louisville, Ky.-based Norton Healthcare announced the ground breaking of the future Norton Women's Hospital and Kosair Children's Hospital-St. Matthews today at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville.

Norton Suburban will be converted to a women's hospital and an extension of the existing Kosair Children's Hospital in downtown Louisville. Men will continue to receive care at the hospital, but new services targeted specifically for women and children will be added. The conversion is designed to meet an increasing need for these services.

The hospital will offer cardiac care, orthopedic services, breast health services, oncology services and prevention and wellness services. The facility will also include an inpatient eating disorders unit and support group, a migraine clinic, a pelvic disorders center, birthing options, additional pediatric services and an expanded neonatal intensive care unit.
